This site started in July 2013 as a personal project hosted on my personal domain name. Over the past ten months, I’ve posted over 200 interesting links, written more than 20 original articles, and released four versions of my Delete2Archive plugin. I now spend a lot more time reading news stories and researching articles, and I’m more passionate about the things that interest me. I’ve rekindled my interest in web design and have spent many hours learning about WordPress. It’s been a lot of work, but also a lot of fun.
I’ve now proven to myself that this site isn’t just a temporary fascination; it’s something I’m committed to long-term. As such, I felt it was appropriate to give the site an identity of it’s own with a new title, a logo, and a unique web address.
- The new title is Things of Interest
- The new address is thingsofinterest.com
- The new logo looks like this:
You can also now follow Things of Interest on Twitter to receive a feed of all the links and articles published on the site.
Despite the new identity, the site design hasn’t changed and the purpose remains the same: highlighting things of interest from around the web with a focus on entertainment, finance, politics, and technology. I’m excited to continue posting links and writing articles for the new site and want to thank everyone that’s been visiting for the past ten months.
